I've tried to start this post 3 times today but every time I sit down at the computer Tanner climbs into my lap and starts to bang on the keyboard. So now it's nap time and I'm writing.
I'm disappointed in myself. I seem to say this every time I write a new post, but I don't seem to do anything to change it. I'm such a bad blogger. There have been a handful of times where I'm awake in the middle of the night (thanks pregnancy insomnia!) and I think about something I really want to blog about. Most of the time it's something I want to write down to remember about Tanner. And by the time I wake up for the day I either forget or just don't feel up to blogging.
I've gone through several of my old posts that I wrote while pregnant with Tanner to compare that pregnancy and this one. And I am SO happy I did that! But now I'm missing things and forgetting things because I'm not writing them down somewhere where I can read it again years down the road.
I've kind of pinpointed where my lack of blogging really started. Yes, it slowed down when Tanner was born but it really came to a halt once I got regnant again. This pregnancy is so different than my last. I'm just NOW getting some energy back and I'm 24 weeks! Once Tanner was in bed all I wanted to do was relax and not do anything at all. It's hard chasing a toddler around while being pregnant, completely exhausted, and nauseous for months at a time. But that is slowly changing. Finally!
I"m going to write a couple more posts after this one. An update on Tanner and a pregnancy update.

I'm here
I apologize for the lack of posting the past few weeks. It's been pretty busy around here. First, I want to thank those of you who commented and emailed to see if we were okay after the tornado in Oklahoma last week. It was about 2 hours away from us. Luckily we didn't get much here. But I watched the whole thing happen on our local news. It was just so devastating. I don't really care for Oklahoma much, but seeing how the people here came together to help one another was amazing. They really are something special.
I haven't posted because we have been in Phoenix. One of Nick's best friends got married! It was such a beautiful ceremony. And Tanner was the ring bearer! He walked halfway down the aisle and realized everyone was watching him. So he stopped, smiled real big, and started walking backwards back towards the door. He was so cute!
I've got some other things to talk about as well, but I am waiting for another day. I'll try to get some pictures together of the wedding and of Phoenix to share with you!

Slacking, again.
I'm a terrible blogger. Period. Sorry!
Last weekend we had Tanner's birthday party. He had a blast. I can't believe a year ago tomorrow I went to the hospital to be induced, thinking Tanner would be born that night. HA! My sweet, sweet boy will be one on Saturday! It's both so exciting, and so sad. He has changed so much. My love for him grows every single day.
(I tried to upload a picture here, but blogger says I am out of space, so I have to look into that...)

Blogging slump
Call it a blogging slump, writer's block, or laziness. I just haven't had the desire to blog.
We have a great routine with Tanner right now. He naps great and has a very steady bed time. Once he goes to bed I always think that is when I will blog. But I end up on the couch with nick relaxing and catching up in some taped TV shows.
Then I realize I'm not taking as many pictures with the good camera as I use to. I'm taking a ton withy phone, but it's not the same. But then it hit me, I started this blogging slump when we moved to Texas for Nick's training. This isn't home. We don't have any of our own things here. I don't have my computer set up at a desk, because we don't have one here. Tanner doesn't nap by himself because his crib is in Oklahoma (a story I probably should save for another post, I hope I can remember that...). We are only here in Texas for one more month. Then we get to go back home and unpack in our new house.
I honesty think I will be able to blog better when we are home. I still have a lot of blogging material I can cover while we are still here though. I'll throw out some ideas of things I want to blog soon. Hopefully that leaves me accountable and I will actually get it done.
Solids, first time at the park, play dates, 3-6 month baby things we couldn't live without, 6 month post (6 months??!?!!), pool, father's day...
Just give me some time, I promise I'll be back!
